If you work with the group again, the agreement should be retained for future meetings or workshops (particularly important for project teams). Whenever you do a workshop or meeting with the group, you should check the group agreement and make sure everyone is always satisfied. If something has to change, change it. Remember that the team and the best of them in the time you have. The key question for a group of agreements is that other opportunities for group agreements may be more appropriate for shorter meetings or workshops or for groups that do not deal with emotional or controversial topics. These include group agreements that give rise to a normative and therapeutic culture. This culture leads to trust, cohesion and vulnerability. Of course, other factors such as group size, mixed sex, etc. play a role in normative culture, but a fundamental type of “being” helps further in these processes.
For groups working together over a long period of time, it may be worth spending a little more time developing a longer-term group agreement. You can use a process like the one described below. Although the time of a group agreement sometimes seems a little frustrating, you gain that time later. This makes your event much more fluid. 6. Emotions happen – recognizes that people may experience emotions such as injury, sadness, boredom or anger at some point in the group. An agreement in this area shows respect and opens the door for people to express their feelings. In our experience, you may need to offer some important items if they are not raised by the group. Ask people: You may be afraid that people will disagree, which is why many people use ground rules. Ironically, and unsurprisingly, the presentation of rules can trigger exactly the behavior of the people we are afraid of because this idea is unconsciously spreading throughout the group.
Trust the group! Trust the group to cover most of the things they need to work well together. If, towards the end of the segment, you feel that some important chords are missing, you only offer one or two supplements. Check whether or not the group wants to adapt your proposals. 2. Amnesty – is a companion of confidentiality and means that shared confidential information is not used against others during or after the group. If members have relationships outside the group, amnesty agreements help encourage people to share the truth without fear of blaming or judging. Second, it is important to develop a list of agreements with your group rather than participating in pre-formed agreements that you have not developed. It is quite normal to have an idea of what the agreements want to include, but they should be general (respect, no violence, a microphone, etc.) to make room for young people.
If you strengthen youth by allowing them to develop agreements, they will take on more responsibility and exercise them more closely. Some of the common agreements I talk about with young people are the same: whether it`s for a single meeting or a team that will meet often, agreements must help a group meet its own expectations about how they can work together. In relation to the rules that are passed on, everyone agrees on what is in their agreements and what is not in their agreements. There are many ways to create a group agreement. To decide on the best method, you need to consider the length of the workshop and whether the team will work long (for example. B project teams), if the topic is controversial and leads to disagreements and mixed opinions, how much time you have and whether you need to work with a new group and develop some form of trust or relationship with the team.
